Chat and Social Networking Features
In ekidna World we have several levels of chat and social networking, and Mate Safety™, a unique feature you won't find on other sites.
At sign up you choose which is the most appropriate level of chat for your child considering their age and sense of responsibility and you can change that level at any time.
The chat options
Open Chat: For the responsible mature child who you feel is able to monitor themself. With this option your child is able to chat using text with any other child in eKidna World. 
Numbers will not transmit, only letters, preventing your child from giving out phone numbers, addresses and alike.
Safe Chat: This is for our youngest members and it's simply a drop down menu of casual chit chat and phrases.
If you would like to be able to choose with whom your child is able to open text chat with, then select our unique add-on safety feature, Mate Safety™.
Mate Safety™
A wonderful chat and social networking feature unique to eKidnaworld and the feature that sets us apart from the other sites. As a parent myself, I just love it!
Whenever your child’s eKidna World character sends or receives a new mate request while playing in eKidna World the Mate Safety™ popup will appear, asking for the special mate password. The mate password is is the same password you use to access the Parent's Login Area, which of course only you hold.
Without this password, it is impossible for your child to add new or unknown to you friends/mates. You, the parent chooses with whom your child befriends and chats with while in ekidna World.
TIP:
Setting the Mate Safety™ setting to ON restricts your child from text chatting to strangers… even if you have chosen Open Chat. Your child will only be able to chat by text to the friends you allow.
